Fatimah Foundation is currently supporting Civil Defense based at the Welfare Centre in Lambie Drive Manukau City Auckland.
Fatimah Foundation’s key role is to provide culturally appropriate support to Muslim families arriving from Christchurch. Liaise with the Muslim community and to provide Cultural Advice and Support to the service providers at the Welfare Centre.
This includes meeting and greeting Muslim families, supporting them with advocacy, advice and support as they go through the process of registering with Red Cross, help them seek suitable housing, provide transport when required and provide moral support.
Halal ready to go hot meals are delivered to the Welfare Centre on a daily basis ready for families who have just arrived to Auckland organized by Fatimah Foundation.
Fatimah Foundation coordinates community support from individuals and mosques to provide a wrap around support service to the hundreds of Muslims flooding into Auckland to resettle.
The Fatimah Foundation Family Centre has been inundated with donations of food, clothing, household goods and bedding. These will be re distributed out to families in need.
