Youth - Our Future

Youth in New Zealand are extraordinarily diverse and their experiences defy superficial generalizations. They arrive from numerous points of origin and add new threads of cultural, linguistic, religious, and diversity to weave into New Zealand Society.

It is crucial that they integrate well into society to become proud NZ citizens and still maintain their own cultural values and identity. However, our youth are exposed to environmental conditions and other social influences, which can cause an identity crisis. This in turn can lead to drug and alcohol problems, lack of direction, low self esteem and unemployment.

Fatimah Foundation values family cohesion and the maintenance of a well-functioning system of supervision and mutuality that shape the well-being and future outcomes of all children in New Zealand.

Fatimah Foundation fosters healthy development among its youth by providing:

  • Tutoring
  • Educational guidance
  • Recreational activities
  • Job search assistance
  • Mentors
